The target of this
research is to determine the kinds of bamboo fibre for Ultra Violet resistant
protective textile material. The main prospect is Ultra Violet resistant hijab.
Hijab is used for head protection of woman and required for muslimah also
protects from ultra violet light. Thus, ultra violet resistant hijab can be
more comfortable and supportable for daily activities. This research uses
simple method for taking the fibre of bamboo that soften the bamboo by soaking
in water or solution of sulfuric acid or sodium hydroxide during specific time.
This method can extract bamboo without breaking the molecular structures
inside. The fibre is taken from softened bamboo then tested the ultra violet
resistant. Then, will be known the kind of bamboo that better on ultra violet
resistant.
